The St. Bernards Outpatient Dialysis Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas was established in 1978 for the purpose of providing a regimen of treatment which will meet the specific needs of patients with both acute and chronic renal failure problems.
St. Bernards is one of few Arkansas hospitals that offers hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis to kidney disease patients. Dialysis is provided in outpatient, inpatient and home settings and patients receive individualized education based on specific needs.
There are three units currently present - Jonesboro Dialysis Unit and Wynne Dialysis Unit at the CrossRidge Hospital, as well as our Home Dialysis Clinic.
Our Home Dialysis unit is directly adjacent to our Outpatient unit in Jonesboro, Arkansas and is staffed with RNs 24/7 who have been trained in the Home Dialysis method.
The Jonesboro Dialysis Unit has two social workers and a dietician available, in addition to specially-trained nurses who have received intensive training in dialysis techniques. The Jonesboro Dialysis Unit presently has 20 dialysis stations, plus two isolation rooms available. Dr. Clinton Edwards, Nephrologist, serves as Medical Director for the Jonesboro Dialysis Unit.
The dialysis unit located at CrossRidge Community Hospital has 12 dialysis stations, plus two isolation rooms available.

The Home Dialysis Clinic is located at 538 E.Washington, Jonesboro, Arkansas and may be reached at (870) 207-7380 during the day. A home dialysis nurse is also on call 24 hrs a day and 365 days of the year should a patient be in need.
Wynne unit can be reached at (870) 208 1170 during the day.
Patients accepted for chronic hemodialysis treatment will be offered assistance in applying for all private, state and federal benefits through the Social Services Department at St. Bernards.
