Types of PCPs

Wellness Visits

An annual wellness visit is one of the most important appointments you have with your primary care doctor. We use this time to identify risk factors and early signs of diseases, so we can help you prevent or treat those illnesses as soon as possible. Many chronic health problems start in young adulthood, and they’re easier to treat when caught in their first stages.

Referrals to Specialists

Your PCP is the front door to the comprehensive St. Bernards Healthcare system, which includes hundreds of specialists. If you need to see a specialist, your primary care practitioner can give you a referral. The specialist will tell your PCP about any tests and treatments you receive. That means you’ll get coordinated care for all your needs.

Appointments

If you’ve seen us at least once and you’re feeling ill, call us to ask if we can schedule your appointment for the same day. Most of our clinics have sick-call appointments available. We want to help you start feeling better as soon as possible.
