Diabetes Management —
Diabetes can be treated and controlled. At St. Bernards, we’re confronting the disease with outreach, education, patient support, and proven management techniques.
St. Bernards offers a comprehensive diabetes education program that is recognized by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) for meeting national quality standards for diabetes education. This program is available through physician referral and is billable through insurance.
In addition to management by the patient’s physician, there are lifestyle changes the patient can make to help self-manage their blood sugar. Our patients learn self-care skills that promote better management and treatment based on individual needs.
Our staff of nurse educators are prepared to assist you.
