Connecting You to Community Resources

As a new patient, you’ll meet with cancer navigators to explore helpful community resources for you and your family. Ask about services such as mental health counseling, childcare, transportation, discounted lodging and more. To reach a general cancer navigator, call 870.207.8251.

Breast Patient Navigator

After a routine screening mammogram, you may receive a call back for more testing if a radiologist sees something unusual. In this case, you’ll talk to a breast patient navigator certified by the National Consortium of Breast Centers. She:

  • Explains your test results
  • Arranges more exams you may need, such as a biopsy (procedure to diagnose or rule out cancer)
  • Helps you take the next steps after learning your biopsy results
  • Serves as your advocate during breast cancer treatment and recovery

To reach the breast navigator, call 870.207.8006.

Head & Neck Cancer Navigator

Count on our head and neck cancer navigator for support after a diagnosis of cancer affecting your mouth or throat. This professional is a registered dietitian who can help you:

  • Get treatment in a timely way
  • Learn how to eat and drink during and after treatment
  • Make appointments for speech therapy

Lung Patient Navigators

You may see one of our lung patient navigators after either of these exams:

Your navigator will help you take the next steps. If you receive a diagnosis of cancer, rely on the navigator to guide you through treatment.

For lung screenings at Jonesboro, Wynne, Pocahontas and Walnut Ridge, you can contact our lung navigator at 870.207.8250 to schedule a screening.
