Allergy Services: Relief Starts Here

If allergies affect your day-to-day life, you don’t have to manage your symptoms alone. At St. Bernards Healthcare, we specialize in understanding and treating environmental allergies. Through comprehensive testing and personalized treatment plans, including allergy injections, our team can help you find the right solution for lasting relief.

Allergy Evaluation:

The first step to treat your allergies is scheduling a thorough evaluation. At your initial appointment, one of our doctors will assess your medical history and symptoms. If you meet the criteria for allergy testing, we will schedule you for a follow-up appointment.

This extra time ensures you can stop taking your oral allergy medications 1-2 weeks prior to testing. These medications can negatively affect your test results. In addition, certain blood pressure and antidepressant medications can also affect your testing. Please consult your doctor about any medication you take regularly.

Allergy Testing:

After a brief pause in your allergy medications, your nurse will conduct the allergy test. The test usually takes about an hour, and it focuses on identifying environmental allergens that may affect you. You should have your results the same day, after which you will meet with your physician to go over the results and determine the best treatment options to manage your symptoms.

Allergy Injections:

Once you’ve started allergy injections, you won’t need another appointment unless we need to make adjustments. Just come to our walk-in hours for your weekly shots at St. Bernards OFSC. Allergy injection days and hours are:

  • Monday: 9:00–10:45 AM, 1:00–4:15 PM
  • Tuesday: 9:00–10:45 AM, 1:00–4:15 PM
  • Wednesday: 2:00-4:15 PM
  • Thursday: 9:00–10:45 AM, 1:00–4:15 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 11:15 AM

IMPORTANT NOTE: For Medicare patients, all injections must be administered in a medical office due to CMS requirements. If you have commercial insurance, you may take your injections at home after completing the first 10 injections in our office.
