Shannon Rogers was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, and moved to Paragould, Arkansas, in 1992. The following year, she married her husband, and together they built a family filled with love and purpose. They have three wonderful children, two daughters and one son, all proud graduates of Greene County Tech. Their giant hearts and many accomplishments bring Shannon and her husband immense pride.
She is also a very blessed grandmother of six grandchildren, who are truly the beat of her heart.
Education has been an important part of Shannon’s journey. She graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2010, followed by a Master’s degree in 2014. She is currently receiving supervision to obtain her LCSW, which will allow her to expand her clientele and continue serving others more fully.
Giving back to her community is central to who she is. Shannon volunteers as a presenter for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and dedicates time to Seven Recovery whenever she can. Her Christian faith guides her, and she believes she was born to help people and make a difference in their lives.
Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Shannon is a devoted pet lover. She shares her home with three large dogs that she absolutely adores.
One thing Shannon often says about herself is that God did not give her grace in the traditional sense, if something is going to happen, it will happen to her. But she wouldn’t have it any other way, because each challenge has shaped her into the person she is today.
