Porsha Butler, MD

Porsha Butler, MD, is a fellowship-trained neonatologist dedicated to caring for premature and critically ill newborns. Originally from Florida, she earned her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine before completing her pediatric residency at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She then served as Chief Pediatric Resident at Nemours Children's Health in Florida before practicing as a community pediatrician. Dr. Butler later completed her Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children's Hospital. Dr. Butler is committed to delivering exceptional, evidence-based care while building trusting relationships with families. She believes that clear communication, compassion, and teamwork are essential in helping parents navigate the NICU experience with confidence and hope. Her experience as a community pediatrician gives her a unique perspective on the continuum of care, allowing her to help families prepare not only for their baby's hospital stay but also for a successful transition home and the journey that follows. Outside the hospital, Dr. Butler enjoys spending time with her family, staying active, reading, traveling, and playing video games. She is proud to serve the families of Northeast Arkansas and considers it a privilege to care for the region's newest and smallest patients.
