Mandy was born and raised in Jonesboro, AR. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Arkansas State University and her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her social work career began advocating for families experiencing domestic violence and child protective services. After seeing the trauma her client's had experienced, she had a calling to return to school and become a therapist. Her journey in mental health began when she started graduate school. She worked as a school-based case manager and transitioned to a school-based therapist after graduation. She worked as a school-based therapist for several years before joining the mobile crisis team and transitioned to adult outpatient services. She has been at St. Bernards Counseling Center since September 2018. She is a trauma informed therapist who strives to create an environment that is private, safe, comfortable and non-judgmental to facilitate building rapport and developing a good therapeutic alliance to help others through their healing and wellness journey. She is Emdria certified to provide EMDR and utilize other therapeutic techniques for conditions such as PTSD, other trauma related disorders, anxiety and depression. She is also an ADHD- Certified Clinical Services Provider. She has several years of experience working with children with ADHD and has recognized the need to diagnose and treat adults with ADHD.
