Angela Smith, LCSW

Angela is originally from Jonesboro and a graduate of Valley View High School and Arkansas State University. After graduate school at the University of Denver, she returned to Jonesboro and has been working for St. Bernards since 2003. Before joining the team at the St. Bernards Counseling Clinic, she spent years working in the Medical Center and Emergency Department with a specific focus on abuse and neglect, trauma, grief, mental health interventions, maternal and infant support, crisis intervention and support for patients with newly diagnosed medical conditions. She enjoys working with patients experiencing grief and loss, perinatal mood and anxiety conditions, as well as patients suffering medical emotional trauma from complex medical conditions that take a toll on mental health. Because of her years of emergency department and medical exposure, she also enjoys helping Police, Fire and EMS to work through First Responder Trauma.
