Dr. Alexandria "Alex" Barnett joined St. Bernards Wound Healing in 2022 after spending four years as a Family Medicine Resident Physician with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Northeast in Jonesboro. A native of Paragould, Dr. Barnett graduated medical school from UAMS in Little Rock in the top 10 percent of her class, receiving her Doctor of Medicine in 2019.
As a wound care specialist, Dr. Barnett treats a variety of acute and chronic wounds, including those sustained through injury, surgery, ulcers, radiation and disease. Her practice includes the most current and recommended wound healing treatments, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy; all tailored to the specific needs of her patients.
Dr. Barnett holds professional memberships with the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and the American Medical Women’s Association. In her spare time, she enjoys watching the Arkansas Razorbacks and spending time with friends and family at the lake. She lives in Paragould with her husband, Dylan, also a physician with St. Bernards, and their son Hayes.
