The support of loved ones plays an important role in patient recovery. St. Bernards has designed its family and visitor policy to help make this possible, while providing an atmosphere of healing for patients.
Medical-Surgical/Stepdown: Up to four visitors at the bedside at a time.
There is no time limit on visitation
ICU: Two visitors at the bedside at a time. ICU will be closed to visitors between 6:30-8:30 a.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. for shift change and patient care
OB and Pediatrics may have up to 3 visitors at a time, including siblings
Two visitors allowed per day for up to one hour each. It does not have to be the same two visitors each day. Mask, gown, gloves and goggles must be worn during the entire visitation time. Visitors should remain in the patient room at all times during visitation. Children must be at least 15 years of age.
Visitation in the Emergency Department is limited to:
Two designated visitors per patient, but only one visitor at a time
Visitor must be 10 years of age or older
