Dr. Kshitij Gupta has joined physicians at St. Bernards Senior Health Clinic.
He and the other geriatricians at the Senior Health Clinic specialize in assessing complex medical problems, managing medications and assisting primary care physicians with geriatric patients who are experiencing declines in health, memory loss, anxiety or depression.
The geriatrician earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University College of Medical Sciences at the University of Delhi in New Delhi, India before completing a residency in medical biochemistry there.
In addition Gupta completed an internal medicine residency at James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. He comes to Jonesboro after completing a geriatric medicine fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City.
He was in private practice in India before coming to the United States to continue his medical training.
Gupta and his wife have two children.
He joins three other geriatricians who see patients at the St. Bernards Senior Health Clinic – Drs. Thomas Mulligan, Cristina Rosca and Terry Weaver. Patients can make appointments by calling the clinic at 870-207-7555.
