Dr. Kara L. Cooper has joined physicians at St. Bernards First Care.
She earned her M.D. from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and holds a bachelor’s degree in zoology from Arkansas State University and a master’s in public health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
After completing a family practice residency through the Area Health Education Center-Northeast in Jonesboro, Cooper worked as a family practice physician with St. Vincent’s Family Clinic-Chenal. For the last eight years, she was a hospitalist with NEA Baptist Clinic.
Cooper is one of 22 new physicians in the St. Bernards Class of 2016.
She and her husband, Jeremy Ellison, have two children, Chloe, 9, and Caleb, 5.
Cooper joins Dr. Melissa Yawn at the First Care Clinic, Hilltop at 3617 B East Johnson Ave. (east of Bill’s Market).
