Dr. John Thompson has joined physicians at St. Bernards Clopton Clinic as a pulmonary and critical care physician.
He earned his Medical Degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences in Memphis.
After working in private practice in Mountain home for a number of years, he returned to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed a three-year fellowship in pulmonary and critical care.
He comes to St. Bernards from Mid-South Pulmonary Specialists and Critical Care. He also served as director of critical care at St. Francis Park Hospital in Memphis.
Board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine, Thompson holds an undergraduate degree in microbiology from the University of Arkansas.
He and his wife have three children.
He is one of four physicians at St. Bernards Clopton Clinic who specialize in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of lung illnesses.
