Chris Conroy, vice president and general manager of television station KAIT, will serve as reader for the November Stories in the Forest program Saturday, Nov. 7, at the St. Bernards Fun Forest at The Mall at Turtle Creek.
He will read Green Eggs and Ham, a best-selling and critically acclaimed Dr. Seuss favorite. Published in 1960, it is one of the best-selling children’s books of all time. The book is written using a very simple vocabulary for beginning readers – and its text consists of just 50 different words.
The Stories in the Forest program gives parents some quality time with their children and exposes children to some favorite books of local residents. It is an outgrowth of an annual St. Bernards Women’s Council children’s program which began as Kidz Fun Fair and now is known as Kids on the Mile.
Stories in the Forest is scheduled for 3 p.m. at St. Bernards Fun Forest at The Mall at Turtle Creek on Saturday, Nov. 7, and is open to the interested public at no charge.
