Dr. Peyton Maddox, Paragould Doctors ClinicPARAGOULD, Ark. - St. Bernards Healthcare announced the arrival of Family Medicine Physician Peyton Maddox, M.D., who joins the Paragould Doctors Clinic medical team located within Paragould Medical Park.

Dr. Maddox, a native of Little Rock, has spent the past three years as a Family Medicine Resident Physician with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Northeast in Jonesboro. Dr. Maddox received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and began working as a pathology lab technician and medical scribe in Little Rock, eventually owning and operating his own scribe business. Dr. Maddox said his work charting physician-patient encounters inspired him to pursue a medical degree.

Mack Shotts, M.D., a Family Medicine Physician with Paragould Doctors Clinic, said Dr. Maddox joins a clinic that has provided ongoing care for more than five decades, including a current medical team of four physicians and one APRN.

“Paragould Doctors Clinic has a great history of providing care to Greene County,” Dr. Shotts said. “Our clinic mission states that we aim ‘to provide efficient, cost-effective, quality healthcare.’ Dr. Maddox will build upon the legacy already established here.”

As a physician, Dr. Maddox holds board certification with the American Board of Family Medicine.
