Mallory Black Joins St. Bernards to Lead Physician Marketing

Mallory Black, Directory of Physician Marketing for St. Bernards Healthcare & Medical GroupSt. Bernards Healthcare & Medical Group has named Mallory Black their new Director of Physician Marketing, spearheading efforts to promote and connect the region’s largest voluntary association of physicians.

Black joins St. Bernards after serving as the Marketing Director for the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce, the 10th largest chamber of commerce in Arkansas with more than 1,100 members.¹ She previously spent time working in higher education marketing for Arkansas State University-Newport and as an anchor, reporter and journalist for KAIT-TV in Jonesboro. Now with St. Bernards, she leads marketing for a diverse healthcare group that includes more than 260 physicians and mid-level providers spanning 40-plus specialties and 70-plus clinics.

Black said her previous work has already given her opportunities to tell how St. Bernards’ impact goes beyond 23 counties in Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri.

“St. Bernards providers are known for world-class healthcare,” Black said, “but their reach extends further—philanthropy, education and community outreach to name a few. So much starts with them, and I cannot wait to tell their stories.”

Black, a native of Weiner, graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She later earned her master’s in Communication Studies from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.

St. Bernards Medical Group President Dr. Ben Owens, Jr. said Black brings a wealth of talent and experience to the organization. Most importantly, he added, she has earned trust.

“We all would welcome Mallory into our homes each morning on KAIT,” Dr. Owens said. “We then relied upon her to communicate the good work taking place right here in Jonesboro. She knows the economic and health challenges we face, and we look forward to how she will continue to serve our community.”

Black currently sits as the membership chair for the American Advertising Federation Northeast Arkansas, the board secretary for the Downtown Jonesboro Alliance, and the board president for the Northeast Arkansas Chain Reaction Youth Council. In addition, she volunteers her time with the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas, Kappa Kappa Gamma and St. Bernards Advocates.

Black lives in Jonesboro with her husband, Jase.
