St. Bernards Welcomes Dr. Dylan Barnett to Paragould Doctors Clinic

Sep 09, 2022

St. Bernards Healthcare announced the arrival of Family Medicine Physician Dylan Barnett, M.D., who joins the Paragould Doctors Clinic medical team located within Paragould Medical Park.

Dr. Barnett, a native of Bono, has spent the past four years as a Family Medicine Resident Physician with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Northeast in Jonesboro. Dr. Barnett received his undergraduate degree from Arkansas State University in 2014 and graduated medical school from UAMS in Little Rock, receiving his Doctor of Medicine in 2019.

As a Family Medicine Physician, Dr. Barnett will provide non-emergent care to Greene and surrounding counties, including management of chronic diseases and conditions, urgent care services, wellness visits, health screenings and more.

Dr. Barnett, a lifelong Northeast Arkansas resident, said he looks forward to forming relationships with his patients.

“Trust between a provider and patient is the foundation of Family Medicine, and Paragould Doctors Clinic carries a patient-centric focus. I was immediately drawn to that environment and the Paragould community as a whole,” Dr. Barnett said. “As our clinic mission states, we aim ‘to provide efficient, cost-effective, quality healthcare.’ I look forward to building upon the legacy already established here.”

Mack Shotts, M.D., a Family Medicine Physician with Paragould Doctors Clinic, said Dr. Barnett joins a clinic that has provided ongoing care for more than five decades, including a current medical team of four physicians and one APRN.

“Paragould Doctors Clinic has a great history of providing care to this community,” Dr. Shotts said. “This region is home for Dr. Barnett, and his arrival ensures we’ll continue our service for many years to come.”

Dr. Barnett holds professional memberships with the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Arkansas Medical Society. In his spare time, Dr. Barnett enjoys playing guitar, fishing, going to the lake with friends and family and watching the Arkansas Razorbacks and Arkansas State Red Wolves. He lives in Paragould with his wife, Alex, a Paragould native and new physician with St. Bernards Wound Healing, and their son Hayes.
