St. Bernards hosted a groundbreaking this week for a new family medicine/urgent care clinic in Monette. The Buffalo Island Medical Clinic will be located at 21080 Highway 18.
The new construction will replace the current Buffalo Island Medical Clinic in Monette. The new clinic, scheduled to open to patients in May 2019, will have expanded patient care areas, updated technology and telemedicine capabilities.
“This groundbreaking is signifying a long-term commitment to health care in this area,” said Dr. Brian Baltz, who will oversee the clinic. “We wanted everyone to come out and see the new land where the building is going to be built and what we’re going to see here in about six months or so.”
The current Buffalo Island Medical Clinic receives an average of 6,000 patient visits a year.
