Nurse Practitioner Ashley Taylor recently joined the medical team at St. Bernards Five Rivers, working from St. Bernards Five Rivers Rural Health Clinic.
Taylor, who specializes in psychiatric-mental health, makes her rounds in senior care while managing psychiatric patients in a nursing home setting. She holds board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with the capabilities to assess, diagnose and treat individuals and families with psychiatric disorders—or the potential for such disorders. In addition, she uses therapeutic skills to prescribe medications and administer psychotherapy.
Taylor has worked in mental health for 10 years, earning a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway and a master’s degree in nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minn.
A licensed real estate agent, Taylor co-owns United Country Pocahontas Real Estate Company in Pocahontas. She lives in Maynard with her husband and three sons.
