St. Bernards Medical Center announced receiving its tenth consecutive Best Places to Work in Arkansas award on July 13, honoring the state’s best employers who benefit the economy, workforce and businesses.
The program, administered by Arkansas Business Publishing Group and Workforce Research Group, recognizes 50 companies statewide. Businesses participate by completing an in-depth questionnaire about their company. Each company’s employees, in turn, complete a survey about their workplace. These elements allow Workforce Research Group to collect direct information and honest feedback about work environments, determining the state’s top employers throughout the process.
St. Bernards Medical Center Administrator Michael Givens said the people who work at St. Bernards give it a family atmosphere.
“We serve with incredibly gifted individuals,” Givens said. “They care about their work, the patients in their charge and the people they work alongside. They press us daily toward our mission of Christ-like healing.”
Givens said he considers it a privilege anytime someone chooses service at St. Bernards.
“Amid a competitive hiring environment, job seekers may encounter a wealth of opportunities,” Givens said. “Still, we routinely celebrate team members having 10, 20, 30 or even 40 year anniversaries here. That loyalty inspires us to innovate for them and the next generation.”
Organizations eligible for the 2022 Best Places to Work in Arkansas award must meet the following criteria:
- Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity;
- Be a publicly or privately held business;
- Have a facility in Arkansas;
- Have at least 15 employees in Arkansas;
- Be in business a minimum of 1 year.
Further category winners, including the Benchmark Award winner, will be revealed at a special awards ceremony on September 29 and then published in a special Arkansas Business supplement on October 3.
