Dr. John Norwood Joins St. Bernards

Infectious disease physician John Norwood, MD, FACO, FIDSA, has joined the medical team at St. Bernards. 

Dr. Norwood earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1988. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, as well as his fellowship in infectious disease. He is a fellow of Infectious Diseases Society of America and is board-certified in both internal medicine and infectious disease. 

Since 1994, Dr. Norwood has worked for the University of Tennessee, first for the UT Medical Group and most recently for the UT Regional One physicians. He served as both an assistant and associate professor of medicine during his tenure with the University of Tennessee. 

Dr. Norwood is married to Elizabeth Holmes Norwood and they have two children.
