Darren Caldwell Named Senior Vice President of Regional Services at St. Bernards
Darren Caldwell of Newport has been named Senior Vice President of Regional Services at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Caldwell brings almost 30 years of experience in healthcare to St. Bernards, having led numerous healthcare improvement initiatives in Arkansas, including Unity Healthcare’s Telemedicine Program for Cardiology.
In 2015, He took a Vice President/Administrator position at Harris Medical Center in Newport, after several years of serving as a CEO at various hospitals across the state.
Caldwell received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering degree in 1989 from Louisiana Tech University, in Ruston, La. He received his Masters in Healthcare Administration degree in 2006 from Kennedy-Western University in Agoura Hills, CA. In his new role as Vice President of Regional Services, Caldwell will oversee the regional operations of St. Bernards Healthcare. Caldwell is the former chairman of the Greater Delta Alliance for Health, a non-profit organization where members address health related issues, and is currently serving as chairman of the Arkansas Hospital Association. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and First Baptist Church of Newport.
