Residents will be guided through structured, stimulating activities for increased independence and dignity. We will help residents stay focused, which reduces anxiety and hopefully slows the memory-loss. The memory care neighborhoods are specifically designed to provide comfort, security, and peace of mind in a separate environment for those with Alzheimer’s Disease or related dementia. One should always see the person first, then the disease. We respect each resident’s life story, beliefs, culture, values, health, hobbies, and retained abilities. We know they’re still there; we just have to figure out the best way to hear.
