St. Bernards Village Assisted Care is licensed by the state as a Residential Care Facility (RCF) to assist residents with the activities of their daily lives—bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, housekeeping, and laundry. St. Bernards Village is allowed to do medication reminders, which means we can keep all the scrips current and then make sure residents know to take the right dose of the right medication, at the right time.

St. Bernards Villa is licensed as a Level 2 Assisted Living Facility (ALF2), which adds a nursing component to the services listed above. We have nursing care plans produced by a nurse (RN), and carried out by licensed staff (Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assitants, Patient Care Tech’s). St. Bernards Villa is allowed to perform limited nursing services, such as wound care, and medication administration. They are allowed to do injections when necessary, finger sticks, and administer the drugs, rather than just reminders.

Residents in an ALF2 have the opportunity to stay longer, because they have access to more advanced services before they need full-time skilled nursing care.”
