Often medical wellness is not considered until an individual is in a health crisis. We understand that our members are busy people, and their time is valuable. With this in mind, we have created a streamlined and comprehensive approach to striving for optimal health. Our medical wellness services provide members with an array of options that can be personalized to meet the needs of each individual. At St. Bernards Health and Wellness, each member's wellness journey is vital to us.
Community Health Screenings
Unsure of where you are with your medical wellness? It happens life gets in the way, and we forget to take care of ourselves. Get back on track by taking advantage of one of our Community Health Screenings. These screenings are accessible to the community and include FREE labs.
During your screening, we will evaluate your height, weight, BMI, and blood pressure. All screenings also include lab work for cholesterol, hematocrit, and glucose. Those who wish to have a more in-depth screening will need to fast for at least 8 hours before their screening. This more in-depth lab work will include a Lipid Profile (Cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL & LDL) along with the basic screening labs.
Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR Testing)
As a leader for wellness in the region, St. Bernards Health & Wellness is the only fitness facility that offers metabolic testing. This testing shows members the number of calories burnt while at rest, meaning doing nothing more than sitting in a chair. This unique test offers insight into why a member may struggle with weight loss. Once this information is part of your fitness portfolio, our trainers and wellness experts can identify Target Caloric Zones. These zones are specific and individualized for success. When YOU know the calories needed to stay current, lose, or gain weight, the power you have over your wellness becomes more obtainable.
The fee for a metabolic test is $60 – Call 870.207.7777 to schedule your RMR Test!

This division of St. Bernards Health and Wellness is a multi-disciplinary program specializing in educating and rehabilitating members with coronary artery and lung disease. These services are located on the ground floor of the Health and Wellness building.
Physicians typically refer our cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services for patients who have experienced or are experiencing the following:

- Recovering from heart attacks
- Undergone procedures such as balloon angioplasty, stent placement, coronary artery bypass, or heart valve surgery

Our clinical teams consist of exercise physiologists and registered nurses working directly with physicians. Specialized collaboration between these groups allows us to develop wellness programs specialized for individual patients to improve recovery, fitness levels and educate patients on how to reduce relapse or additional health problems. Patients and their families can feel confident when their loved one is at rehab, knowing that our cardiac and pulmonary team uses state-of-the-art monitoring systems to evaluate patients.
To keep patients on track during and beyond rehabilitation, we offer monthly Heart Smart Nutrition Classes. This class is open to patients, family members, and the entire community. Our team is committed to ensuring a safe environment after recovery, offering supervised exercise programs as patients transition to members of the St. Bernards Health and Wellness program.
