St. Bernards Health & Wellness strives to provide all participants with a positive and enjoyable experience in and around the water. We offer three indoor pool areas with a variety of programming. The Aquatics area is available during regular facility hours*, but it closes 15 minutes earlier than the facility. It is accessible from the locker rooms and through the family changing area. Use is included with membership.

*St. Bernards Health & Wellness reserves the right to use the pools for special programs, events and rentals. We attempt to post all activities in advance.

Our four-lane, 25-meter lap pool is used for lap swimming, aquatic exercise classes, swimming lessons and family swim (held every first and third weekend of the month). The pool temperature range is 80-84º F. One mile is 64 lengths of the pool.

The whirlpool is ideal for relaxation and recovery, with a temperature range of 101-104º F. It is reserved for adult use only.

This pool is also great for teaching young children basic swim lessons. It is also ideal for low-intensity workouts in the warm water to improve strength and joint range of motion. This pool can benefit individuals with various ailments including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, total joint replacement, chronic lower back pain and fibromyalgia. Water exercise sessions under the one-on-one direction of a Personal Trainer can help you reach your goals to increase strength, build endurance, increase range of motion or lose weight. Aquatic Personal Training is a great way to diversify your workout routine, while reducing joint impact. A certified Personal Trainer will design an individualized water exercise program based on your goals. Sessions are 45-minutes or 1-hour.

Swim Instruction

Our top-notch instructors assist aquatics students, from 12-month-olds to adults, build their comfort level and skills in the water. We offer a variety of swim instruction for different ages and abilities through water safety instruction and drills to improve technique.

No matter your ability, we can assist you. Our group classes have a maximum student-to-instructor ratio of three to one for younger children and four to one for older children and adults, ensuring you receive the guidance needed to improve your swimming ability. Private lessons are also available.

Family Swim

Offered year-round, Family Swim is an opportunity for families to enjoy time together in the water. It is held on the first and third weekends of the month, from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday in the lap pool only.

Members may bring up to two guest family members under the age of 11 at no charge. Additional guest family members, guest family members 12 and older, and non-family guests are required to pay the one-day guest fee of $10.

Family Swim Rules:

  1. All children must be accompanied by an adult (18+).

  2. Please respect others by bringing only members of your family.

  3. Children may not use the whirlpool or locker room saunas.

  4. Infants/children not toilet-trained must wear swim diapers under swimsuits.

  5. The lifeguard or manager on duty has final say in any matter to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all patrons.

  6. Breath-holding activities are strongly discouraged.<

  7. Proper, family-appropriate swimming attire must be worn.

  8. Adhere to the posted pool rules.

  9. Family swim is restricted to the Lap Pool.
