St. Bernards offers private mental and behavioral health services to 23 counties in Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri. Our completed continuum of mental health services includes inpatient services at St. Bernards Behavioral Health Unit and outpatient services at St. Bernards Counseling Center.
Behavioral Health Unit - Inpatient
The 62-bed acute care psychiatric center in Jonesboro provides hospitalization and treatment for adults sufferingfrom behavioral and psychiatric health disorders. Our highly skilled and comprehensive staff includes four on-site psychiatrists and a team of nurses and licensed therapists who develop treatment plans for patients on an individual basis always with regard for dignity and privacy. To provide superior psychiatric care to patients in a safe and comfortable setting, we have created two distinct specialized areas—one for adults, 18 to 64 years of age, and one for geriatric patients, ages 65 years and older. Emergency Behavioral Health Screenings
Crisis screenings for potential inpatient behavioral health care are offered through the St. Bernards Emergency Department 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Primary care physicians, medical centers and mental health agencies can also call to make referrals for direct admission to St. Bernards Behavioral Health.
