Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with the St. Bernards Foundation. We truly appreciate you taking the time to reach out and for your desire to serve others through our programs.
Before moving forward, we would like to share a few important details about our volunteer opportunities to ensure they are a good fit. Volunteering with the Foundation requires a minimum commitment of six (6) months and includes an extensive onboarding process, which consists of an application, background screening, health requirements, orientation, and role-specific training.
Due to the nature of our programs and the populations we serve, our volunteer positions are not well suited for individuals seeking short-term placements or volunteer hours required for school or program completion.
All Foundation volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
For information regarding our Junior Volunteer Program, please contact Tiffany Horton at thorton@sbrmc.org, or visit our website for additional details.
We invite you to attend our Volunteer Interest Meeting, held on the first Thursday of every month at 4:00 p.m. at the Foundation office, located at 400 East Street. This meeting is a great opportunity to learn more about our volunteer programs and determine whether one may be a good fit for you.
If you are interested in being notified about upcoming volunteer training opportunities in Hospice, NICU Cuddler, or Pastoral Care, please call the Foundation or fill out the form below and let us know which program(s) interest you. We will be happy to keep you informed as opportunities become available.

* We are not taking applications for NICU Cuddlers at this time.

St. Bernards Auxiliary

Auxiliary members in the gift shop

As an Auxiliary volunteer, you may serve at stations throughout St. Bernards Medical Center. Members have complete responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the St. Bernards Gift Shop. Each year, the Auxiliary provides tens of thousands of dollars to support the health system.

St. Bernards Advocates

Four women advocates at a sign-up table

Support St. Bernards through fundraising, education and healthcare programs. As an Advocate, you’ll help organize the foundation’s annual Triple Swing, a fun-filled, three-day extravaganza. This fundraiser includes a casual dinner-dance, a pickleball social and a two-day golf tournament. Advocates also host the annual Butterfly Release fundraising event for the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. In addition to the fundraising events, Advocates also meet quarterly for lunch, fellowship and networking.

St. Bernards Women's Council

This group formed in 2003 to assist St. Bernards in identifying women’s and children’s health issues. You’ll provide insight into how well St. Bernards meets those needs and how we can better meet them in the future. The Women's Council is a branch of the St. Bernards Development Foundation which supports and enhances the mission of St. Bernards Healthcare – “to provide Christ-like healing to the community through education, treatment and health services” – through funding, volunteerism and community awareness.

Hospice Volunteers

Consider giving your time to provide support and companionship to families at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. You may also answer phones, perform light clinical duties and assist the hospice house staff.

NICU Cuddlers

NICU

A loving touch helps premature and sick newborns get well sooner. But parents can’t always be with their infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). When you volunteer to hold babies at St. Bernards Medical Center, you play a role in their earliest stages of development. *We are not taking applications for NICU Cuddlers at this time.
