Location: The Mall at Turtle Creek
Stories in the Forest is scheduled for 3 p.m. at St. Bernards Fun Forest at The Mall at Turtle Creek on Saturday, Jan. 6, and is open to the public at no charge.
Beth Greer, spin instructor at St. Bernards Health & Wellness and physician recruiter for St. Bernards Healthcare, will be the reader. She will read the book Duck on a Bike by David Shannon.
Greer is reading a bicycle-themed book in celebration of the upcoming Spin-A-Thon to benefit St. Bernards women’s and children’s programs. The Spin-A-Thon will be held on Friday, Jan. 19 at Brickhouse in downtown Jonesboro.
The Stories in the Forest program gives parents some quality time with their children and exposes children to some favorite books of local residents. It is sponsored by the St. Bernards Women’s Council, a group of about 120 area women who have joined together in an advisory role to give input on important healthcare issues impacting women and children. They encourage educational as well as service outreach efforts designed to make Jonesboro a better place to live, work and raise families.
