Compensation

St. Bernards' competitive pay includes an overall compensation package that may include a combination of the following:

  • Base pay
  • Periodic performance review
  • Differential pay as appropriate (shift, unit based, etc.)

Time Off

A generous leave program includes a combination of the following:

  • Paid Time Off Program
  • Six paid holidays per year

Medical Benefits

St. Bernards pays a portion of the medical plan premium for both employees and dependents. Insurance selections for employees and eligible dependents are effective the first calendar day of the month following 59 days of employment. Employees may choose from a variety of plans including:

  • Employer paid Dental Insurance
  • Prescription Drug Plan
  • Vision Coverage
  • Employer paid Long Term Disability
  • Short Term Disability
  • Employer paid Life Insurance - One times annual base salary

Retirement Options

A Voluntary Retirement Plan is available. Employees may choose to participate in a 403(b) plan that allows employees to make tax deferred contribution, with an employer match, to supplement their state retirement benefits. 

Flexible Spending Accounts

Employees may use flexible spending accounts to direct a portion of pre-tax salary to pay for un-reimbursed Medical and Dependent Care expenses.

Continuing Education

Training and educational programs are offered for employees at all levels of the organization. Training may include job-specific technical information as well as programs to increase knowledge and skills in numerous professional development topics. Continuing education credits may be offered for specific disciplines based on individual accreditation requirements. 

Recognition Programs

Everyone likes to be recognized for a job well done and St. Bernards takes the time to do just that. Some of the ways we show appreciation is through BRAVO nominations, Plugged-In recognition, and Employee Service Awards. 

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

A program to assist all employees including members of the immediate family with personal and work-related stresses and issues. Services are strictly confidential, conveniently provided onsite and at no cost.

Community Involvement

Giving back to the community that we serve and getting involved is important to St. Bernards Healthcare. In addition to St. Bernards sponsored community events, we support many other local and national initiatives. This includes the annual Susan G. Komen Ride for the Cure, Paint the Town Red, Relay for Life and many other outreach programs.
