Vanessa exemplifies the mission of St. Bernards daily in her role as an OT. She recently advocated for a participant who had a complicated medical history with several long-term stays in a nursing home for rehabilitation. While many felt that transitioning the participant to long-term care in a nursing home was the best choice, Vanessa campaigned for the needed medical resources to successfully transition the participant back home with his wife. Without her support and guidance, the participant would not be home today. She has been a true blessing to our organization.
