Megan was the day nurse for my dad while he was in the ICU at St. Bernards. From the moment she came on shift the first day, she was a godsend! She was so attentive and caring. Her bedside manner is impeccable, and you can tell she truly gives her all for her patients. My dad was so scared. We all were! Megan’s calm assurance and signature wink each time she left the room were so endearing and made us all fall in love with her! One instance of her attentiveness was when my dad was in distress and his heart rate and blood pressure shot up dangerously high. Megan could tell just by looking at him. She quickly got him hooked up to monitors, called for assistance, and calmly navigated us all through a very scary situation. Being in the hospital is hard. Being in ICU is even more difficult, but nurses like Megan are literally beacons of light during a difficult time. In the words of my dad, she is an angel.
