I was sent over to labor and delivery from my OB’s office for what I thought was going to be a quick check. Upon arrival we were informed my blood pressure was too high and we would need to deliver the baby the same day. I began to spiral as I was only 34 weeks. I was truly terrified. Jessi took the time to reassure me it was not my fault and that I was not to blame. She took the time to answer every question I had without getting mad or hesitating even answering the same question multiple times because we did not understand. She reassured me that I was able to keep to my baby safe and delivering him early was not my fault. She held me while I cried. When I was getting my spinal she calmed my nerves and reassured me again that I was okay. She made me feel like a human and showed so much compassion to me. You could truly tell that her job was more than just a job to her and that she really cares about her patients. Without her support I’m not sure how I would have survived the hard moments. So to her I am truly thankful.
