My daughter recently went through a very challenging health season.. One night I had to bring my daughter back to the Emergency Department. She was in a lot of pain and was having other issues that were concerning. Hazel was our nurse, and from the moment she entered our curtained waiting area, she made the situation so much better. She went out of her way to put my daughter and myself at ease. She was so patient to answer the many questions we had. Her kindness was truly a gift to both of us that night. She came back often between the required nursing tasks she needed to complete just to see if we needed anything and check to see if we were ok. When some of the results came back, Hazel came in and talked with us with such compassion and helped us process the news. Before Hazel left she came in and let us know she was leaving and once again provided us with encouragement. Hazel is a true asset to the nursing profession.
