I was admitted Christmas night to monitor for progression of labor. From the moment Ashlyn King introduced herself at the beginning of her shift, she was looking for ways to allow me to have some power and opinion in my delivery process. She was calm and advocated for me throughout the entire day, even when my labor progressed quickly and anesthesia was not available to provide an epidural in the needed time period. She pushed and got anesthesia there in time to give a spinal block which significantly improved my experience and comfort. She worked efficiently to get my OB present, monitored and acted quickly when baby had abnormal vitals. She communicated efficiently which allowed my husband and I to know what was happening each step of the way.
