Family
Family support plays an important role in patient recovery. St. Bernards has designed its family and visitor policy to help make this possible. One family member may spend the night in the patient’s room. Recliners are available in private rooms and cots are distributed on a first-come, first served basis. If requested, staff members can provide blankets and pillows. Visiting times and family accommodations differ for ICU patients because of their advanced care. These are outlined in the ICU brochure, available in the unit.
As a reminder: when bringing small children to the hospital, please be aware of the potential for germ exposure and do not allow children to crawl on the floor.
