This year’s HMG Health & Fitness Expo will be a great place to find tips for cooking healthy.
There will be lots of cooking going on in the Expo’s Healthy Cooking Kitchen, a facility assembled especially for Expo by Gilmore’s Custom Kitchens. A half dozen different demonstrations will be held over the weekend, with the featured cooks focusing on foods that are good for us … have wide appeal … are kid friendly … are easy to prepare … are in line with “better choices” … and provide the energy our bodies need without excess calories.
Guest cooks will share great ideas for ways we can pay better attention to our diets and things we can do to build better food habit as we work toward better health. You’ll leave with some good ideas … and some recipes in hand to try for your family.
A total of six demonstrations will be held over the two days – four on Saturday and two on Sunday. They include:
9:45 a.m. – Lisa Tedder, author of a blog called “The Cardiologist’s Wife” on www.jonesboro.com (assisted by her husband, Jonesboro cardiologist Dr. Barry Tedder)
11:15 – Sai Kattaviravong, owner of Sai Thai Cuisine, 211 South Main Street (assisted by First District Congressman Rick Crawford)
