When visiting our GI Lab, a patient should expect to be with us for approximately two hours, which includes both the procedure and recovery time. The patient must be kept in recovery and monitored until the nurse feels that the patient reaches an acceptable alertness score and is ready for discharge.
- The GI Lab is located on Level M of the Diagnostic and Treatment Center.
- Deals with problems of the digestive system from the esophagus to the colon, including organs involved in digestionthe liver, pancreas and gallbladder.

Laboratory and Equipment
- The GI laboratory has three equipped procedure rooms and an ERCP room. The GI physicians use devices that allow the interior of the colon and stomach to be viewed as well as biopsies taken of suspicious lesions.
- Assists in early diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders.
